HTML marquee Tag There are no formal arrangements/agreement with GP and Private Practice- it depends on GP practice on case by case basis however recent changes in national policies and procedures with health care has impacted on how NHS/GPs are working with services involving children and young people particularly private practice.  In keeping with these changes we are working with CQC and NHS England to get a smoother working on urgent basis however it is not within our hands how long certain processes take place. 
Referrals & Appointment
Referrals

We accept referrals from patients and families and health care professionals. Please send referrals by email at referral@xcelsahealth.com.

Once we receive the referral we will review it and establish if we are the best service for your needs. If we are not the right service, we will inform you. We see patients in Coventry and Warwickshire area.

Please note that we are not able to offer emergency appointments for crises due to limited availability. Please access your local mental health service should you need it.

We will contact you to arrange for initial consultation at our specified venue. Please do not provide any sensitive information in the referral. Your personal data/ details will not be shared with anyone and will remain confidential.

What To Expect During Appointments

Depending on your needs, you may have an appointment with one or two healthcare professionals.

An initial appointment will last between 60-90 minutes

Follow up appointments will last  between 30-45 minutes,

This may be longer if your needs are complex. A full report will be produced for you of your assessment within an agreed period of time.

 You can attend the appointment with a friend or family member.

Please bring any previous psychiatric or medical letters and details of medication (both prescribed and OTC) for your appointment. Additional information may be required for Neurodevelopmental disorders and you will be advised prior to your appointment. We will liaise with GP and school as and when necessary.
